Start exploring Riverside park by checking out this greatly under-appreciated monument. The monument commemorates Union Army soldiers and sailors who served in the Civil War.

Head south via the riverside and, if you're hungry, stop an get a bite at the boat basin cafe. As you might expect, it has views of the water that can't be beat.

Continue going south along the riverside and you'll see the new developments. If you don't tire out, you'll notice a natural stopping point at 59th street. When you make it here- you should probably turn around or cut back into the city.

Pro Tip: Turn east into the city on 66th and you'll run straight into Lincoln Square.

Start off with some fun. Have your first round of beers at E's bar over some stupid boardgame.

Pro Tip: Try scrabble while you can still spell words...

Take a stroll on over to the Gin Mill. If there's sports on- watch them during the second round of beers. 

Head to Jake's Dilemma for the next round. Get a spot on the foosball table if you can.

Turn the volume up at Bourbon street with a couple of rounds of shots. 

If you've got a serious drinking problem and want to hit one more spot before stumbling home, this is the place for you.

Pro Tip: Talk to the people at the bar- this place tends to attract some folks with wacky stories.

They don't take reservations, so be ready to show up a little bit early if it's a Thursday or Weekend. If you don't mind waiting, it should be ~15-30 minutes to get a table. That being said- it's hands down the best chinese food in the neighborhood.

Pro Tip: Get tri-color dumplings to share.

Go see a movie at the newly renevated AMC theatre. The seats are rediculous- the only thing missing is a bar.

Pro Tip: Sneak in a couple of mini-bottles of liquor. You can tell your date if she's into that sort of thing. If not it's our secret ;)
